Day Five: Sacred Renewal
F.L.Y. First Love Yourself / Let it go, Bring it Forward, Call it in
Take this 5 day writing journey a day at a time. Find some time in the morning or before bed to go into each day’s inquiry. Some topics may feel sensitive, so go gently. You might feel inspired to doodle rather than write, or maybe just use bullet points. Write in a way that feels best for you.
Each day take the time to set the mood. Light a candle, find a relaxing playlist, burn some incense. Whatever it is that makes this time feel a little more dedicated. Turn off all notifications. Set a timer. This will be your sacred container. For a half hour or so, prioritize this process- knowing you could easily get distracted, but vow not to.
Grab a pen and paper- a journal- a cup of tea or joe and let’s take a few moments every day this week to get grounded and gain a little bit of perspective. Write freely, letting your thoughts flow. This is your time to connect with yourself, away from the noise and expectations of the world.
Clarity is invaluable to standing in your unwavering truth. It’s about naming and claiming who you are and what you want. Learning to quiet the outside noise to be guided through your own rhythm, flow, and timing. Now more than ever, the world needs you to step into your power. The world needs you to live out loud. To play big. To own who you are and contribute how you can. This is your dharma. Your life legacy. Your soul sole purpose.
F.L.Y. First Love Yourself:
The journey of Dharma is not an epic adventure to go out in search of any deep meaning in life like the great mythical heros and heroines. Your greater purpose is already there like a seed resting inside your heart- a potential ready to germinate.
Clarify your heartfelt desires. Demystify what you want. Amplify who you are. But first F.L.Y (First Love Yourself)! This is your chance to realign with what you want and who you truly are.
Write a statement of intention for each: What did you realize from this process or what you will move toward in the new year? Make a note or write it in the form of an affirmation.
F.L.Y - Where will you focus your self-love/ self-care?
Clarify - What do you clearly see now or know?
Amplify - What do you want to amplify from your new awareness?
Demystify - What obstacle needs more attention and understanding?
Let it go, Bring it Forward, Call it in:
Looking back at this year
Let it go - What no longer serves you? Is it a mindset, a coping mechanism, a hardship? Are you ready to let it go?
Bring it forward - Is there something to build on? Are you ready to activate an idea or intention? What more will you create?
Call it in - What do you want? Is there something you desire to call in and attract?
It’s not the end result or conquering a goal that fills us with purpose. It’s the journey and growth that brought us to achievement. It’s what you needed to experience to get from point A to point B. The parts of yourself you had to invest, grow, connect to, and push forward. These are the accomplishments to be cherished and milestones to be marked.
The secret to intentional living is in the pause. The seekers and searchers who long for a purpose driven life can find it in the smallest moments. Creating reverence and ceremony imprint meaning into our days. We synchronize our tiny moments with the vast experiences of humanity. To live deliberately in simple recognition and suck the marrow out of the daily. With the passing of time - in joy, sadness, honor, and reverence, we celebrate our living how we can.
